Hayley Whitaker is Head of Education for Rockmybaby® New Zealand. Hayley’s background includes 26 years of teaching and leading across a range of roles in the education sector, including education and care, kindergarten, professional learning and development, teacher unions and the Ministry of Education. Hayley has a teaching degree and post graduate diploma in education. Hayley enjoys being part of the passionate and dynamic team of professionals at Rockmybaby®.
Hayley believes that professional leaders should always show professional integrity, consistently demonstrating credibility and reliability. Hayley believes that as a professional in the education sector it is important that passion for teaching and learning is never lost and that our belief in children as our future leaders and most valuable and precious tāonga is always at the forefront of what we do. Hayley was born in Hastings and raised between there and Kairakau Beach. She has iwi affiliations in Te Arawa on her father’s side and her mother is from England. She has spent time working in Wellington in a range of roles. Hayley lives with her partner Dave and two young boys Reef and Zane in Hastings. She has two young adult step-daughters who in live in other regions studying and working.
